Meet Lian!
Lian Norris (she/her) is a compassionate yoga teacher and occupational therapist dedicated to inclusive, holistic care for people of all ages, abilities, and identities. As a transracial Chinese adoptee raised in a predominantly white community, she brings deep empathy and personal insight to her work, creating spaces where everyone feels seen and supported.
Lian’s love for yoga began 12 years ago in Dharamsala, India, where she discovered that yoga is about self-acceptance, belonging, and mindfulness—lessons she integrates both on and off the mat. She completed her 200-hour yoga teacher training at Down Under Yoga in Boston and advanced 300-hour training in therapeutic practices at Be The Change Yoga in California. With certifications in sensory-enhanced trauma-informed yoga and a focus on neurological conditions, Lian meets people where they are in their journey, teaching yoga’s healing benefits.
Lian provides occupational therapy and teaches yoga at Re+Active Physical Therapy & Wellness in El Segundo, CA. She also teaches yoga at Soul Play Yoga & Fitness in Culver City, CA, and offers online classes for the BIPOC adoptee community.
